Our little guy is a 13 year old Havanese who has anal sac cancer, a heart murmur, going blind and early dementia. He's never been very vocal and always sweet, playful and pretty chill. We were starting to see some changes in him and at first we thought it was the cancer progressing but a few weeks ago he started getting symptoms of "sundowning" and getting much more vocal at night with whining. He was really having a hard time settling in for the night and waking us up multiple times during the night. We tried trazadone at but a lower dose didn't do anything and a higher dose made him more anxious. We thought maybe pain from tumor pressure but he had no other symptoms of pain. The Tramadol helped him settle somewhat and let us get a bit more sleep. Then we thought his heart med was causing the anxiousness. Such a helpless feeling not knowing what to do! We spoke to the vet and discussed trying cbd oil before anything else more hard core. We took him off trazadone, his heart medication and the tramadol he was getting at night and got the Spectrum 250 and a simple anti-inflammatory. What a difference! We have no problem getting our 12 year old Sheltie to take his CBD. He loves it and we just put the dropper in the side of his mouth and squeeze. He always licks it clean and wants more. In the first week he went from struggling to get up and stand, due to hip issues, to a Sheltie that has his groove and game back. He is no longer in pain. Chevy protected his face when sleeping by placing his head under furniture so as not to have anyone bump him causing pain. He was fed low grade food which we changed to Wellness a holistic food. We just wanted to do what ever we could and can for our dog Chevy. All the changes have changed him and he is not the same dog he was and is so happy. The only thing was his arthritis and we didn’t want toxic meds for him. This product is worth every penny as we can’t put value on the difference it has made in Chevy’s life.
